Giving Praise

I hope you will all rejoice with me to answered prayer!  I just came from church and MY SON had the sermon!  He is currently taking classes to be in the ministry.  It was a wonderful sermon on Ephesians.  He has had many people praying for him and feels this is the path he wants to take.

On the lighter side the search for a job is on a lot of peoples mind.  If you are looking, have you realized that there are many opportunities out there that you may not have thought of?  There are no more social classes.  No one has a better education or a better job history.  When your employer moves on and leaves you behind what good was your perfect attendance or your puntuality.  This is a lesson in humility.  No longer are you looked up to and admired for a job well done.  Now you and the local car salesman are equal.  You and the man who lost his retirement are equal. You and the homeless are looking for a job.  You can be a caregiver, a fast food worker or a cashier at the local market, you can even get into the medical field and become a Certified Nursing Assistant and you can earn minimum wage.  This is the new age.  Equality and humility for all.

I can't get over the shock that was witnessed on the news this week about Chicago losing the Olympics.  Were we, the US, supposed to be given special attention?  Were we supposed to get everthing that we want?  It was the attitude of a spoiled child.

Once again it is my favorite time of year.  The fall colors will be beautiful.

Keep looking up!

A very sad story

Withoout going into personal details, I want to relay this message.  Once upon a time there was a young girl who hadn't seem her dad for a while.  Yes he was behind on his child support and communication just wasn't happening.  However, this girl had been very close to her Dad when she was younger and she loved her Nanie very much. Fast forward this story two years and the phone call comes that Nanie has passed away.  Apparently Nanie found the lump in her breast about 2 years ago, not wanting to tell her sons she avoided treatment until it was too late.  In the meantime she never got to say goodby to the grand daughter that she cared about very much.

The lesson here is that even though Nanie didn't want to worry anyone. she denied them the expression of their love to her and hers to them.  Never...never...deny anyone that you love  the ability to  share in your worst moments!  Not knowing why things have changed leaves the mind open to all imaginations.  The truth is always best and not facing problems makes things worse.  This little girl will feel neglected and unloved, when she could have been such a blessing instead. Things are not always the way we want them to be but that is why we have family!  We support each other and share in the good and the bad.

Keep looking up!

The new Healthcare Plan

The government wants in on the healthcare industry.  The government wants to make sure that all americans have healthcare.  Its the old saying "Hi, we're from the government and we're here to help you." Well if you believe that I hope you never get sick.  I have a state funded health care insurance.  There is not a doctor within 50 miles of my house that will accept my insurance.  The company will repeatedly deny whatever the charges are for treatment or routine exams.  A doctor cannot operate with a staff, office or equipment for nothing.  That is common sense.  Yet if the government takes hold of this, the goverment will only pay what  they feel is necessary.  Our local hospital wants family members to remain with the patient and they provide a couch for a family member to sleep on at night.  The room and board charges are enormous and yet the quality of care is none existant.  Nurses do paperwork, Cnts do personal care and doctors don't even visit. What do you think it will be if Washington takes hold of this? Will everyone be treated fairly?  They sent our jobs away closed  their eyes to corruption on Wall Street and now they are going to protect us somemore. What is wrong with this picture?

Keep looking UP!

Turn off that tv!

Spring is here!  Oh how beautiful!  Its like a new birth and yet......the swine flu seems to be creeping into our life.  Well I say turn it off.  Life is for today.  That box in your LIVING ROOM is trying to steal your joy.  Get out of that place that predicts nothing but doom and gloom.

I am sure you all have seen the Funniest Videos program, well will someone please tell me what is funny about people being hurt.  What has TV turned into and we pay big bucks to be entertained?  It has been said that an idle mind is the devils workshop well the TV is turning into the devil's distribution center.  There is nothing of value anymore.

Get out of that Living Room and get into the Living World.

PS this message was not brought to you by CNN.  LOL

Thanks for dropping by, Keep looking Up!

I bought a new camera this last week.  It is great!  However, I haven't used it yet.  I am afraid to.  This camera will do everything that I need it to do, especially with posting pics to the internet.  Now it is going to take me sooo much time to understand all the little buttons, install the hardware to the computer, possibly set up the printer...on and on.  My brain will not wrap around all the fun things it can do.  The book has complete instructions but it is way over my head.  I guess I need a digital camera instruction book for dummies.  Is there one out there?

Keep looking up (and have your camera handy).
